The Department of Regional Development
The Department of Regional Development is in charge of the drawing up of development plans, strategies and programmes. It also monitors development projects concerning regional policy, business activities and tourism. Education, social services, health care and youth policy are also assigned to this department.

The Department of Spatial Planning
The Department of Spatial Planning is in charge of the drawing up of a regional plan. It also participates in a number of regional development projects and environmental projects. It is in charge of traffic planning and provides the Regional Council with cartographic service.
